Artificial intelligence is the simulation of human intelligence in machines that are programmed to think like humans and imitate their actions. The term is also applied to any machine that exhibits traits associated with a human mind such as learning and problem-solving. This type of intelligence is functioned by machines, unlike the natural intelligence displayed by humans and animals which involves consciously and emotionally.
Artificial intelligence works by combining large amounts of data with fast, smart processing and intelligent algorithms, which allows the software to learn automatically from patterns or features in the data. It is impacting the future of society as well as industry and every human being. AI has acted as a driver of emerging technologies like big data, robotics and, it will continue to act as an innovator of new ideas for the foreseeable future. We are already using AI in our everyday life. Manufacturing robots in the mills, self-driving cars, smart assistants like google, proactive health care management, disease mapping, automated financial investing such as atm/mobile recharge, travel booking agent virtually, social media monitoring, etc. AI has shortened the time taken to perform a task. It is able to multitasking and eases the workload for existing resources. AI enables the execution of complicated tasks without significant cost outlays. AI works 24*7 without any interruption.
There are 3 types of artificial intelligence
- Narrow or weak
It is limited to specific areas. It normally does time-consuming works which humans cant.
2. General or strong
This type of intelligence is equal to human intelligence. It can learn, think, solve problems like humans.
3. Artificial superintelligence.
Artificial superintelligence is focused on a specific area rather than a broad area. In the specific area, it is specialized.

If AI surpasses humans in general intelligence and becomes superintelligent then it could be a threat for humans to control. Another danger can be that a sudden and unexpected intelligence explosion can take an unprepared human race by surprise. But above all, we don't have to think about the risks because all is under control and human can beat the robots for their natural intelligence. AI is a great help for humans to save both energy and time. Controlled use of ai can do no harm. But we have to be concerned about the criminal activities using AI.
